Sounds about right. I don't know about 8 hp, but it's possible. Most CAI's come with an upgraded MAF sensor and this could be the one.

I wouldnt waste my money...From my experience you will gain more HP by tuning with yoru stock MAF than by installing one of those and trying to "trick" your PCM!

if you plan future mods to your car, I would stick with the stock maf.

Everyone talks about "tuning" but people like me will not touch the PCM until my warrenty runs out.

Your BS alarm should go off. We have tested that meter. It is an exact OE replacement meter and offers no benefit - it is not recalibrated - it fact it looks totally untouched short of the new decal. I hate to be a MAF hater (since GMS is the only MAF company out there that offers street legal hi performance MAF replacements) but I speak out because I don’t want real MAF’s that do offer a benefit to get balled up into the wrong stereotype of “waste of money” parts

In the case of JET – it does not trick the PCM because all they are doing it selling you the exact same part you are pulling out – it is like changing your air filter with another stock one – but there was nothing wrong with the first one. In the case if Granatelli, we do not offer (at this time) an OE replacement MAF for that exact reason. We have “recurved” the meter for a few customers looking to top out the spectrum and they work great. Since Granatelli is truly calibrating the MAFs it does not trick the PCM it actually communicates and reports the truly accurate data.

This is what I am talking about in the above link – Granatelli gets balled up into the same negative press as the guys that can’t really calibrate

A-men to that. There is tons of power to be made and still keep it all simple. As an example there are several companies that offer cold air kits that DO IN FACT offer 10 to 14 hp increases. Anything more claimed then that and be leery.

I am sure most would agree for 2010 a lot of COLD AIR INTAKES (CAI kits) look the same. The Granatelli offers a shroud that does keep a lot of the under hood temps away from the inlet filter. Speaking or air filter we use a 850 cfm filter rated at 550hp - So that is way more air then the car can ingest - In English that means the air filter we supply is no where near a restriction like the factory box.

With that said - $205.00 plus shipping until December 15th
