best rim tire for street and strip

Hi guys Im debating on which tire rim combo to buy, I have a ls3 whipple s/c and making 600 rwhp, i want to get better traction, right now im just spinning the wheels on the launch, i want to get a smaller and wider rim that is light weight, also i plan on using the set up on the street, any recommendations thanks.

You can do better than that in terms of traction. Forgestar F14s come up to 11" in the rear- meaning you can get a 315 tire on there. Plus they are pretty light.

I went with the 18x10 forgestar f14's with 305/45/18 nt05r drag radials. Alot of guys on the forum are having great times with the nt05r's. You can get the wheels also in 18x11, but you have more tire options, a little less weight, and cheaper pricing all around with the 18x10 setup.

This is my favorite combo, 18s in the rear with 20s up front.

I've also had a few go 18s front and rear. Whichever looks better to you.

I have 600 rwhp and i get traction. My wheels are light because they are a 2 step lip that makes the face of the wheel 19 inches. The Nitto Invos are great tires and great for daily driving as well.
