Converting my 2nd gen to awd
Wasn't sure where to post this but, I'm just curious if the old awd astro vans' awd setup will work with my lt1 in my 79. And ever I should start my research.
Any info would be greatly appreciated Thank you |

AWD has been done on a first gen using a similar Syclone/Typhoon AWD set up. Anything is possible with enough money, and I'd plan on spending a boatload of it.

Instead of awd, maybe look at a GMC Envoy SLT chassis. I think they are close in length and I believe some come in V8 even so it might be an easier swap.

Disregard what I said if you are looking to build a car like what Proz showed you
