top down question?

I run top down without the tonneau cover most of the time on my 2015 SS because it's such a PIA to put on. I've noticed that when I get up to speed I can see the convertible top in my rear view mirror ruffling a bit in the wind...not much, but it's clearly visible movement. It's a little distracting. Is this normal?
Thanks!

this is what causes the wear spots on your top fabric

OK, what can be done about it? Run with the tonneau on all the time?

The tonneau cover takes about 3 minutes to install on my 2011. Tuck it in around the sides, then clip the two middle clasps. I store it in the trunk when not in use.

yes, unless you want to replace the top when it wears through. Got mine replaced 1X already. Cover on all the time for me

The only time my cover isn't on is if the wife is taking the car by herself. She doesn't want to deal with and won't put it on and off. It's not that often she takes it by herself anyway. I only have use of one hand, and it's no big deal for me to do. So I don't buy the excuse that it's a hassle, it's a choice.

After looking at it closely, it looks like the wear mark across the top may be caused by the friction of the tonneau when it's on and snugged down. Mine also has the elastic loops on each side that attach to pegs to keep it tight.
Thoughts?

I also put a couple of towels between the folded top sections as I put the cover on. I am now very careful how I store my top since it was replaced.

I drive around without the cover on a lot and have zero issues with wear spots. It does flap a little bit, but no biggie to me.

Mine flaps too at 35 mph. I could care less. No wear marks.

I rarely drive with the cover on. No issues with abnormal top wear after 7 years.
