I love the Challenger so much! To be honest, the thing that brought me to the Camaro was the remote start, halos, and ABM. It's just sexy.

Challenger and Camaro are my favorite cars and I think it'll be a fun, friendly race.

Mustangs... on the other hand....

muahahahhahaha

From what I've seen, most reviews have the SRT8 trapping 106-107mph whereas the Camaro runs 111mph. The Camaro is faster....especially after 60 mph.

Sorry but I cant see the SRT 8 beating the Camaro. Actually the R/T s I have seen are faster than the SRT's. I have seen a couple R/T's push into the 13.10's right at 108. My friends with the SRT 8 say they are detuned to a certain mileage for break in purposes. True? beats me but everyone say they do open up with miles on them.

I have a few old Mopars and really wanted a Challenger but the tools at the dealers here all wanted over MSRP for the 08 and 09 SRT's. Yeah right. One dealer still had his 08 as of last month. Now a buddy of mine got an R/T 6 speed right at 27k which was not too bad.

why would you cry...it has only 35 less hp and is lighter than the srt8.......lol with 6 speed its a drivers race. Open your eyes to reality. the srt8 shouldnt lose but doesnt mean it wont. the ss has the slight edge but its always a drivers race with such close numbers.

Paying 10 Grand over MSRP for a Challenger SRT8 and then calling yourself a "retard" for it.....Priceless!

I put this together this morning from the Motor Trend tests. The Camaro is still my choice.

Kevin an R/T will never beat an SRT in a straight line it's impossible.

Some people get mad that they didn't get an SRT-8 so they come up with fantasies like Kevin. 35HP Less ? That's a lot , and you have to downgrade the rest of the car's other parts which are non SRT (brakes , suspension , etc ...) Kevin is not very smart IMHO.

Kevin...you are very intelligent.

Its always a drivers race with cars this close in performance.

I can see why Rudy is pissed at you because he just realised he paid $20,000 more for an SRT8 thats barely faster than an R/T.

Oh it certainly is possible. I have seen it happen at the track a couple times now. They are very closely matched and it is a drivers race. As for suspension, brakes etc. They have very little to do with straight line performance. The SRT does have the advantage on the RT on paper but it is a narrow advantage.

Me I would take the R/T for 27k add some mods still be under the going price of the SRT 8 and thump them.
