With no speed limit they would be kinda pointless. Unless they took your picture and sent it to you. Kinda like a car version of those onride photos from roller coasters.

There are a lot of places on the Autobahn that do have speed limits, and they are all over them.

Thats such a beautiful castle. When i was there in 2006 for the World Cup, we had lunch with Prince Leopold there (well his family did own the castle at one point, so he gave us a pretty decent tour of it ) He's a really cool guy, and works for BMW now. He also races LeMans for them every year. It was such a great trip. I recommend everyone to go to germany at least once in their life.

Last week I hit 250 kph when the govenor kicked in. My gps said I was going 257 kph. Those are 155.3 mph and 159.7 mph respectively.

Sorry to jack your thread a little, but this is a picture of Neuschwanstein I took last year while we were visiting.
You know it is kinda funny because I was headed back to Grafenwoehr from visiting Neuschwanstein when I hit that speed.

Meanwhile my car is sitting in my garage waiting for me to come home to drive her. I'm supposed to go to the NCO Academy next month if I make it back, if not, the next class in Aug and I plan to drive her up there.

Have you gotten a chance to make it up to Germany yet? Watch out if you go through Switzerland, they love to get people comming across the border from Germany. You get all comfortable with high speeds and 130 kph seems slow

I thought about it, but you have to pay something like a %30 import tax if you sell it to a local national....so you have to sell it for a lot more to make money.

There are cameras on the parts of the autobahn with a speed limit, but not on the unrestricted sections.
