Tom,

Please tell Robert that he is in our prayers.

Pause for about 10 seconds.

Then tell him Justice Pete said "Enough of this hospital vacation bullsh$$. Get your butt out of bed and get back to work. Brandie needs more car parts."

:-)

Bob had a cap put on his trache today, if he responds to that well, he gets it our tomorrow.l=
His creatnine levels are doing very well, meaning his kidneys are getting back to normal. He will undergo an MRI on his left arm tomorrow, he as some pain in it that has surfaced after he has been getting off the heavy meds. It is thought that he may have gotten banged around when they were trying to get his big butt out of the rig. Hopefully know more tomorrow. He is also experiencing some equilibrium issues, but they will get better. We have to be careful and watch our movements when around him, folks pacing back and forth around throws him off a little, so we try to keep a little distance and keep those movements to a minimum.

He was scheduled to start some breathing exercises today; first steps in his rehab.
He is not a very good patient, but then, none of us brothers were during our own times in the sheets. One thing they cannot do is bullshit him due to his EMT background. He asks some pretty pointed questions , to which they have to be more honest than they are normally.
He does not like pureed food at all; i thought of going and getting some jars of baby food just to mess with him. I can also tell you he has no problem throwing things to get attention. Pretty good aim too; he did a nice side toss through the door into the hallway with a rag Sunday.
Debbie is holding up as well as can be expected; She has been magnificent through this ordeal. Her parents are helping out at the rehab center; they are also a fantastic couple.

Will try to get a better perspective in the next day or two before I leave for Pensacola on thursday. As always, appreciate your thoughts and prayers.

Tom

Exactly what I would expect from him, so glad to hear his spirit and fight is in tact.

Hope tomorrow goes well.

LOL, I am waiting for his ribs to heal a bit more so I can really start in on his ass....

He had the MRI on his arm today, but have not seen the Doctor that ordered it.
Some good news is they did remove the trache today; the bad news is soon he is gonna be able to talk more . Much more enjoyable when he is quiet, sorta like when my wife has laryngitis..(sure glad she does'nt know about this forum..)
His creatnine numbers were down again. and he has no had dialysis since last Thursday. Looks like the kidneys are back like they need to be.
They are starting him on some breathing exercises and he is starting to move around a little more.
I am going to go see him tomorrow night before I head to Pensacola, but I will keep you posted as i hear from Debbie.

Went to see Bob today; He is doing a little better each day. He was more talkative today, left arm still hurts him; appears to be possibly bone spurs around the elbow. Should know more tomorrow. His creatnin number continues to improve, he is pissing and crapping just like his old self.

Debbie stated that he was a bit aggravated earlier by one of the Staff; From what she said, said staff member liked to have gotten thrown out.
I guess every place has one of those; the tech while we were there was very good.

He is not getting much therapy as his left arm is basically useless until they address the spurs or whatever is in there. They cannot perform any kind of surgery right now; He is on Coumadin until some blood clots get resolved.

Debbie will keep me posted while I am out of town for the next 5 days; and I'll relay her info to yall.

Hey all I'm one handed and drug addled. I'll just say Thank You All for the thoughts and prayers. I'll try to add more later as I hopefully continue to ,improve... lots of love and thanks to you all. It's been a long rough road but I'm not lifting... I'll keep mashing and shifting til I'm back up to speed.
