ZL1 pump and module

I know the ZL1 pump and module is a direct bolt in for my SS. My understanding is that the ZL1 pump module speeds the pump up as boost increases. Is it the MAP sensor that sends the signal to pump module in turn ramping the pump up?

It is way more complex than that. Pump speed is dependant on requested fuel pressure from the PCM. And the PCM requests a specific fuel pressure based on engine load. All is based on settings in the PCM calibration. And end result is based on input from multiple sensors, not just the MAP sensor.
