Ok so this was my first time ever at a track, so obviously there is room to improve. I did three other runs, but the above was my best 1/4 time. I left TC on and had it in drive and not sport, if that makes any difference. Any suggestions to get my 60' better? scrming you said you keep TC on but flash the converter, what do you mean by flash the converter? Also, what RPM's are yall launching at? I've just been going from 0 and flooring it lol.
This is gonna be a hard number to beat.

I ran a 14.56@96.xx stock but I couldn't find the time slip.... I think a good stock time will be better than that.

Of course everything is relative (from a guy that coulda been timed with a calender I think 14.8 is great!).

Going in I thought anything under 15 would be excellent...mid 14's is inspiring and just furthers my appreciation of this car.

Ok so what RPM's are yall launching at? I just launched at idol, but I was thinking that I would probably get better results if I launched something higher than idol. Any suggestions for the next time I'm at the track??

Flashing from idle is best on the A6. The manual is another story....

I was launching around 3k and tire pressure was 28lbs. There wasn't any tire spin at launch and I could have rolled into the throttle a little harder and faster after launch
My reflexes and shifts certainly aren't as good as they once were, but a 14.999 would be about the best I could hope for and I'm sure I won't be able to match the autos.

Really, so flooring it from idol is the way to go with the A6? I figured loading up to 2-3k rpms would help my 60' time... That's what I was planning on at least. So with an A6 how would you go about getting better 60' times?

I have never taken a car to the strip before, but I was thinking about givin' it a try. I also have a manual. When you launch are you holding the clutch at the point of engagement, and then dropping it? What are your shift points (rpm)? It seems like the power peaks in this car around 5500.

when youre on street tires...instead of dumping the clutch try and feather the clutch out. and ive been shifting in between 63-6700 rpm

I vote yes for feathering. If you want you can try preloading to about 2000-2500 or so and then feathering the clutch, but I wouldn't try a straight clutch dump.
