Zl1 front 6 piston Brembos swap on 2010 camaro SS

I want to upgrade the front brakes to the 6 piston Brembos that the Zl1 come with, but I’m wondering if it’s just a straight out swap of the stock SS front Brembos? Or should I just go the CTS-V route and get the front Brembos. I did some research and they bolt up easier than the Zl1 with the exception of minor trimming. So, it’s straight bolt on? I also have Goodridge G-stop Brake line kit, Granatelli slotted & dimpled Brake rotors, and Hawk HPS brake pads ( I plan on switching these out for a new type when I need new pads). Am I am able to use the same brake lines, rotors, and maybe pads? Or are the rotors, brake lines, and pads completely different? Any personal experience?

The rotors, calipers, pads and lines are all different from stock SS. Plenty of info on the forum here about this swap

ZL1, CTS-V, and C7 Z06 Iron Rotor calipers are all the same, what you need is the backing plate/dust shield (Amazon about 20 bucks), ZL1 or CTS-V Rotors and brake lines. Very easy swap I got my pads from the corvette forum for very cheap. You can get new bolts or reuse your old one and use Loctite.

you can't use the zl1/cts v calipers on a ss rotor...the rotor is too small. you need to replace the rotors also.

I see i’ll need new front pads, front rotors, and front brake lines. Are there aftermarket rotors that are slotted, dimpled, or drilled for the front rotors? I was looking online and can’t find any for the front rotors.

go racing brake rotors or the oem 2 piece rotor. If you are replacing rotors, save weight.
