Well done on the spreadsheet! Very informative and straightforward. I have the Roto-Fab and was hoping for better numbers but I'm still happy with it!

I think anyone would be happy with any of these kit. Great job guys.

The lean power increase reminds me, an engine builder told me once "lean makes more power, ......right up until things turn ugly".
I'd definitely get a tune.

Thanks for the thorough testing Ted (and your guys that helped!)

So with a tune, New Era would theoretically make the most power?

I don't mean any disrespect But the test was not worth the time as no one drove the car after CAI change this E38 ESM need time to learn or it FU.. up the AFR and that is why it makes so small a deference in HP in all the units, If you wear on and looked at the New Era install you will see it was smoking good as you start the car and it was tiring to find its happy place.
It also stalled after it started.
Dude! Get your dyno ready! You can do the next tests.

ALL would make more power with a tune. I think the OTR's would really come into there own with mainifold/head/cam changes.

i would like to know if you can tell me: Why is the "fuel trim" different? How does it get changed? If the fuel trim was "turned up" on the CAI, would it make more horsepower?
And the IAT reading: what are "Good Numbers" compared to stock? Should they be higher, lower, or unchanged?
Thanks Again and Have A Great Day!
Fuel Trims are a result of Mass air flow measuring error.

Goes like this (Short version) Mass Air Meter (MAF) and Intake Air Temp Sensor (IAT) in MAF Measure air flow in Grams Per second per cylinder, computer calculates how much fuel is to be sprayed in cylinder, then Oxygen Sensors (O2) Read Air fuel Ratio (A/F) then Computer Trims Fuel + or - % to correct O2 error.

So if Maf is incorrect in measure actual air flow O2 pick up the slack and shows up as Fuel Trims.

Moving, Rotating, chaning the size or shape of the pipes before or after the sensor will affect readings, this is why these manufactuerers have to work so hard to find the sweet spot for each system.

Ted.

I Don't know what you expect the computer to learn after 5-10 minutes of driving but I can tell you from the data logs that they learn extremely fast and not much changes after only a few miles.

I don't think your giving these computers enough credit.

These cars would have to lose power before they can gain the power gains that are claimed.

Every LS3 we dynoed comes in at 372-378, RWHP STOCK Put a Varraram on a Completely stock car fully warmed up, drive it as long as you want to and show us the numbers claimed.

It stalled because I let the clutch out too fast my fault Not the air intake
