Auto and manual tune

I found a guy in Oklahoma that I have been told by a lot of camaro owners and some that also have the same set up (cam/headers/cai) that he is really good at tuning these ls3 motors.

A guy went up the a week ago and got his car tuned. Same cam, i don't know about brand of headers and cai he is running. But he's an automatic with a stall and I have a manual

I was told he could flash the same tune he did in his car to mine and be good. Is this true considering he's an auto an I'm a manual?

Never flash a tune from another car. Always make the changes to your tune.

Every car is different. You could really screw stuff up flashing a tune from another car. Besides that while copying the changes over to your own tune you can see what is changed. To top all that off a tune from a manual car will not work in an auto.
What you are considering doing to save a few bucks will cost you much more in the long run.
