Overpar: I am in LUST - what a beautiful ZL1! Simply awesome.

Quacker: Where can we meet for the disks? I would be happy to meet up with you somewhere if need be.

Sounds like you need a random 2nd hit for a complete total loss!! Would those future plans involve a 1LE ,SS or ZL1 !!!!!???

I'm looking for some input.

I've noticed black carbon collecting around the exhaust exit. I still have my catalytic converter installed. Anyone else have this same issue. I haven't seen other cars I've owned do this. Does the V-8 normally run that rich?

I've noticed the car goes in and out of AFM mode quite often. Is this related? I would like to turn off the AFM.

What tune is recommended to turn off AFM and lean this thing out a bit?

Mine does the same thing with the black carbon. After washing the car, I usually use a separate washing mitt to clean out the exhaust tips and the GFX bezels. On our way to Des Moines, when we got on the throttle I noticed a few times my exhaust blowing some crap out. Do you typically drive in D or M mode? I usually drive in M mode so I don't notice AFM, but then again I don't have an aftermarket catback system which I have been told is when you will notice AFM more frequently. As far as a tune, I don't know.

Alright folks the estimates are in: $7800 to fix and it will be done on the 30th of October. I'm glad it will be done quick and back on the road but I already feel that it will never be the same to me. Which sucks, in a way.

I might as well let the cat out of the bag, at this point I am pretty sure I will trading in and upgrading to a 2013 1SS/RS. It likely won't happen until December but I have to have a few more things fall into place. So take this at face value for now.

With that said, I will be de-modding my car to near factory state. With the exception of the front splitter. I had to drill holes and that wouldn't look very good. So I will be letting go of the MRT v1.0 axle back exhaust, RX Intake spacer (LLT), Roto-Fab Intake (LLT), and the 4-pack console auxilary gauges (Auto). If you are interested in any of these items let me know. I will take a reasonable offer and I will let you know when I get the item(s) off of my car.
