Do Adams polishes need a "finishing" (black) pad?

I spent a little more time with my FLEX polisher today, testing out various pad/polish combinations and what kind of results they gave me.

The FLEX definitely has some differences in how it works compared to a PC.

In general, it removes defects MUCH quicker.

As per the Adams' videos, I was trying to finish with the Adams white pad and the Fine Machine Polish. Unfortunately, this combination was leaving me with very fine machine/marring marks in direct sunlight. By using a black "finishing" (Lake Country CCS) pad with the Fine Machine Polish, I got a much better final result.

Maybe some other paints don't require it, but on the Camaro, I think the Adam's system gives a much better result if a "finishing" pad is used rather than the white pad.

Has anyone else experienced similar results?
