1000 times easier... build a rip snorting blown LS.
I hear you. Its a great engine for sure, but we have a nice garden variety of engines that will get you 650+ hp with the same amount of work. Even an LS3 (which I consider one of the greatest LS engines) with some fancy porting and polishing and an aggressive cam would put you at that hp. or more.

I'd look for a nice handling roller car or pick-up, and go to town!!!!

Are they really that much better?

426hp - 455hp = 25hp worth that much $?

Not hating on the swap. It's cool. Wish I could afford to do it myself. Just wondering what your motivation is for doing it.

The lt4 is the supercharged engine in the corvette Z06, CTS-V and ZL1. It's 650 horsepower

not going to be cheap,NZ $20 for motor(ZO6 8000k's),loom etc, figure on $15 max to get it in,definitely cheaper ways to get HP but what the hell it'll be fun swapping it over.Ill let you know how it go's but it going to take a few month's to find time to do all the work.

What would you plug the ZL1 harness into?

The basic problem is going to be ... the engine uses this ECM, and the car uses that ECM. There is no harness for that situation. Completely different electrical architecture. Going to be quite the search to find the electronics genius that can Frankenstein all that together.

15K will be a small downpayment on that installation costs. Assuming you find someone willing to do it.

The chassis fab work alone will eat that up. The only engine bay and front suspension and steering system... that an LT4 fits in... is an LT4 chassis. Have you seen how wide it is? Basically a square engine you'll be trying to fit where a V shaped engine was.

Then the electronics... I guess anything is possible with a large enough budget.

So you wouldn't be able to change the ecm aswell? I don't know much about wiring that's why I'm asking. If you change all the computers and wiring would that work? Just trying to think of an easier solution to hacking up wiring.

I still think either an LSA with a pulley or hell, even a LS3/99 with the LSA blower would be toooons easier and make the same or more hp for far less time and effort.
