Forgot about that, but I believe his is converted to ls3. Still auto of course, so it will be lower numbers. But 1sick's llsr ls3 setup appears to put out about 50rwhp and 50rwtq over most mildly aggressive hyd roller cam ported head ls3's. So that's a baseline to go off of.

The right porter can work magic on stock LS3 heads . But as usual the best cost the most $$$$$$$$$$. For a stock bore 376 DD cammed car you won't beat the GM cnc ported heads for any where near the cost . How fast do you want to go = how much can you afford.

The auto and the 91 octane fuel will have a lot to do with power output. Having a 3 bolt cam (LS3 conversion) has nothing to do with power output. I have a mild single bolt VVT hyd. cam 226°/236°-.62x/.61x-114 and hand ported L99 heads. I make over 500rwhp and nowhere near 500rwtq but I have the track numbers to back them up.

I made exactly 30 rwhp with the addition of prc 260 heads. Dont know what others are are making with the ported stockers but i have my dyno results. Its funny cause tsp told me i would make 30rwhp and they were dead on.

Id be very interested in seeing or hearing some more info on your dyno tests.

gm ported versus some procomp motorsport heads....which is whatever.

http://weaponxmotorsports.myshopify....ad-comparisons
And they have two heads in this better comparison the best I could find which though does not carry some names like trick flow or TSP's PRC.... but does carry MAST on it versus stock versus GMPP ported versus many various shops such as LPE under the stock ported in numbers and a few others under the performance of the stock ported gmpp heads which can be got for $1200. The best heads are the most expensive of course and are made for larger bore...this comparison was on a 468 stroker o.k...... massive compression etc the best performance was from Mast Black Label with what ever problems come with them being $3200 a pair and made for large bores they netted 761 hp and 645 ft lb versus the GMPP ported 720 and 629. 41 hp and 16 ft lb for $2000 is worth it too many and for a all nutted out build yah you go big or go home, but when you look over this list it shows there is not much meat on the bone comparing someone elses porting versus the cheaper gm ported if not a lack of meat and higher cost. SO go figure, you can pay more and get less that's why shopping around and comparing is so important and what you want is all on you. And a aftermarket casting as some are had better really shine to get my money as I drive daily not just to a drag strip on a trailer. The heads they show as gmpp heads were bought by me for $295 cheaper from summit with free shipping and some stocker type springs if that at best but with hollow intakes and no core charge. SO prices may vary of course and with shipping for some, so there you go what I could find from digging some.

There's more to an ls3 conversion than a 3 bolt cam. What about afm delete, vvt delete? And while the fly cut pistons do drop compression, they also allow for milled heads and more lift.

Was that on a stroker motor or something? Those are high numbers. The 30hp bump on the heads is nice.

no not a stroker just every bolt on you can do except stock pipes and mufflers.but those dynos are just to show my gains with heads that dyno is known for being a high reading dyno. but i got all my work done at the same shop.my baseline was 400 rwhp and 393 rwtq with a cold air already installed so its not that high of a reading dyno since a lot of other people dynoed 400 rwhp without intake. it is a 1le which also shows a bit more on the dyno weather its the light rims or 3.91 rear i dont know all i know is that this car hauls ass now.i couldnt keep the tires from spinning in 3rd gear before i put the 315 on the back

Thats the main thing, staying with the same dyno to see results. Its like going to the same track. Some tracks are faster than others.
