Ramp for oil change.

Has anyone used one of these ramps yet with the 1LE to change oil? Seems a lot easier than jacking it up and fairly inexpensive. Just curious about clearance with the splitter.

I borrowed some rhino ramps from a friend and they did not clear. I'm not sure what specific model they were. The other option was race ramps but those are pricy. To solve this I went to the hardware store and got a 2x12 board and stacked them up to make a ramp that the splitter would clear. I did have to put a thin piece on the bottom so the car would be on it before going up the first board as it would slide otherwise. Hope this helps.

I bought the same ramps from Walmart for changing my oil. Didn't clear the front air deflector. I had to add a home made extension to decrease the incline. I mounted a bracket to a 2x6 so it would not slip. The bracket slips in the ramp securely. Works ok with the home made extension even with the front fascia extension. Ramp could stand to be a little taller. It is a little low to get very far under the car for big guys. Unless you can make an extension, I would stay away from the ramps for use with a Camaro. Might be even worse with a 1LE.

Guess I will be washing the car today. Pollen!

I had Rhino Ramps. Couldn't clear the front splitter. Got a set of Race Ramps. They are light-years beyond the Rhinos.

I will probably do the same. I work at a lumber yard so might as well try it.

Yes. The 2pc 56" work great.

You won't believe how light they are.

I have use the rhino ramps over two years, I don't have a splitter problem as I took them off. They look like trash.

You have a 6th Gen 1LE and took off the splitter?

I have a tile floor in my garage. The Rhino ramps move with a FWD car.

The Race Ramps stay put.

There is no 'air dam' on my 1LE. I have the splitter and that's it.

It's the splitter that gets hung up on the Rhino.
