Putting ZL1 brake cooling ducts on a 1LE

The holes are there.

Has anyone tried it?

Finding the ducts is the hard part.

Wrecked ZL1's, Hawks Motorsports has some as does a few other places.

Looks like you could do it, you would have to cut here and fab to match the hole.

I made my own with parts from Summit Racing.
Cut holes to accommodate the ducts in the plastic air deflector and ran tubing into the wheel wells.
Its not the perfect system but does fill the wheel well with cool air and seems to work well! I just need some brake cooling bracket made to run the tubing straight to the back of the rotor.

Awesome.

I got my brakes a little too hot at Tail of the Dragon, has DOT4 fluid and factory pads but I could feel them getting hot.

Never had that happen in the ZL1 up there with the ducts.

This is awesome, I did something similar on my 4th gen. I ran the air through the frame rail.
