Thew check engine light... need help!!
Ok... So a few thousand miles ago I removed my secondary cats. In the process I used a 02 sensor socket to remove the 4 sensors instead of unplugging the sensors from the top. There was some twist in the cable, but when I reinstalled everything I counter twisted the cables first to take the tension off.
I still have my primary cats in... and have been driving trouble free for a few thousand miles. Now all the sudden I get a check engine light a couple days ago. It was on for a little bit, then went off on it's own. Now it's back randomly... so I thew in a reader and got the code... "P0134 02 sensor- no activity detected, bank 1 sensor 1" So did the car just take a few thousand miles to figure out the secondary cats are gone, or did I damage a sensor? I'm a bit confused because 1.) The sensors are before/after the primary cat, and the secondary cat isn't metered. 2.) If I did damage an 02 sensor why would it take thousands of miles to show up? Either way it won't be covered under warranty since I removed the secondaries, so no point in taking it to a dealer. Can someone help me out??

It wont take that long for it to 'figure it out'.. when I had mine unplugged briefly it only took about 30 miles.
Chances are it has either gone unplugged again, or the vibrations finally shook loose an already damaged wire.

That's what I was thinking, because they are completely unmetered.
So dumb question for whoever knows... is bank 1 sensor 1 the driver side sensor pre-cat?

I would say that or pass side rear 02. Depends if it starts at 1 or 0...

According to obd-codes.com, it's 1 then 2 so it's most likely drivers side primary.
