Sure I would love an SS but I could get more power from the V-6 once I find the right Supercharger/exhaust combo for it and still get decent MPG.

Besides my car insurance went down when I bought the Camarao as compared to when I drove a V-6 Sonata, it would have gone up considerably more if I went with the V-8 plus no gas guzzler tax. I love my Maro.
The V8 doesn't have the gas guzzler tax. The 1st to 4th skip shift was GM's way to get around the gas guzzler tax.

I drove the V6 twice and was pleasantly suprised by it paired with the M6.

You definitely cant go wrong with it if your going to drive it daily.

Im getting an SS, but it wont be a daily driver either.

I love my car. It's the first performance car I've owned so I can't claim to have much to compare it to. I will say this. When I get to the metered on ramp here in southern California and floor it when that light turns green, I hit 60 in 6 flat. And let me tell you, that six seconds goes by real fast. If that level of performance disappoints you, your decision is already made.

I love my Camaro every bit of its 304 horses. Let me tell you I had a Dodge pickup before this car and I could look outside and tell how fast I was going. My second day I had my car I gave my wife a ride in it and I looked outside the window as we were going down the interstate and I thought out loud Im doing 50.... When I looked at the speedometer we were doing 101 The 6 is fast. You will love it!

I have the 1LT and I love it...this was my first car im 16 i would have much rather had a 2LT but im not going to be picky i have one of the nicest and fastest cars at my school, the only thing that would maybe beat me is a 2009 mustang GT and he wont get me by much...the v6 camaro is a excellent car to drive every day...if you do go for a v6 get the 2LT though...theres more modifications to do to the car and you get ABL and the extra gauges...

Plus, I get to mod it just as I would a v8!!
Pretty much sums it up right there!!

I am very pleased at the power of the V6. It was truly a practical decision for me to buy the V6, as I used the cash-for-clunker program to get $3,500 for an old vehicle that my wife and I never drove anymore. I wanted an automatic as well do to the chicago traffic I drive in. This car is the best of both worlds; practical and a blast to drive! Anyone who thinks this V6 isn't quick is nuts. I know the V8 has more power and is easier at this time to mod, but I wasn't looking for an impractical car for my family's lifestyle. It's your decision, and I don't regret mine at all!

This is the decision I wavered on. 1SS or 1LT (don't care about the bells, whistles, leather etc.). (Ordered it last week)

I can afford either one but the difference between 300HP and 400HP is like the difference between finding a pot of gold and a pot of gold with the leprechaun still sitting on top.

Although it's nice, no doubt, I just don't need the leprechaun.

I got the 1LT (RS package), and will immediately put a new cat back exhaust on it to mitigate the weak V6 exhaust sound.

I'll also immediately mod the suspension which will make it handle better than an SS.

Looks good, sounds good, handles better, and lower cost of ownership than an SS.

Coupled with an M6, this should be 300HP of pure fun.

Now that it has been confirmed that the V6 in the 2010 also has the same 312 HP 2011 has, it makes me feel even better about my choice... I love the response and feel of the engine, and yes I also love the purr from the exhaust...

Not me... I got the V6 on purpose, I plan to upgrade it piece by piece and see where she goes...

Even at 300 horses, that isn't too bad. I guess what I'm after here is some responses from current V6 owners. Are you in anyway disappointed with the car? Do you wish that you would of went all out and got the SS?

For a few thousands bucks more, the V8 may be envious, just not practical though. For myself at least, I'm not rich, so the few extra grand for the V8 is a big decision. By looking to save some money, I'm wondering if I will be content with a 2LT V6? I guess I'm open to everyone's opinions and suggestions, but I'm most interested in those who own the V6 have to say.

Any and all feedback, comments, and suggestions are most very welcome and appreciated

I have the 2LT and disagree with the factory exhaust opinions.

I had a aftermarket exhaust and it sounded like a muffler delete. Too loud.

After putting the factory exhaust back on I realize now how much effort went into designing these exhausts.

Also with the V6 you have the option of 19" tires which means you can rotate them and the spare tire option.
