Flat Black Vinyl Stripes? VRT FTW!
I've been "easing" into some Adam's products of the last two weeks. I've used Super VRT on my tires and trim and was quite happy with how it looks.
However - today I used in on my flat black vinyl hood spears and WOWSA! They look fantastic! I didn't realize how gray they were until I used VRT and now they are so black and smooth it's unbelievable. I wish I'd have thought to take "before-after" pix but you'll just have to do with the "after". These stripes are over 2.5 years old! If you have flat black vinyl stripes you HAVE to try this stuff.

Sure is. I didn't even think of it at first since it's not talked about on the Adam's vids. However - it looks like they have a vinyl strip video on the Adam's site that confirms the effect.
Great stuff!

How do you manage to not leave a greasy look? My friend used it on his stripes and his looked a little greasy and mangled if you understand what i mean

Mine weren't greasy at all. Maybe your friend used too much? I didn't put very much at all on the applicator.

Your probably right, he likes to use a lot when he can't get something right the first time. I'll let him know and see how it turns out

I've even used a small amount on a MF towel on my Hockey Stripes as they thin out because the sponge is too big. The rubber trip moldings and mirror housings look better than new once I hit them.
Awesome product.

Probably too heavy on the application... also if you watch my video on stripe care its recommended you follow the application up with a dry towel to 'knock down' any excess.

I do not ever go over my pin stripes with it though because it leaves such a mess on my paint, I try to pretty much "color inside the lines". Being that your spears are so slim, how did you keep from getting overflow on the paint? |

I always get a little on the painted bumper when I use VRT on the grill and it wipes right off.

If you watch the Adams videos, getting VRT on the paint isn't an issue. It wipes right off...

I'm in Ontario Canada. Is this "Adam's" vinyl protectant stuff available here anywhere, and if not, is there another product anyone can recommend?
