2014 1LE performance question
I posted this in the 1 le area but decided to branch out to a larger group of owners.
I have a 2014 1LE , only mods to date are CAI cold air intake with scoop, the vararam plate on the throttle body, and a canned 91 tune from a SCT X4. Car pulls good with the gearing in the 1 LE's , but I am thinking of a little more... It has the NPP exhaust so that will stay as I like to have the option of keeping it to a dull roar in the neighborhood. Tell me if I am headed in the right direction, TSP stage two cam kit and TSP lt headers with cats. I do not want to get to a point where the car is more of a chore to drive on the street as I do not track the car at all. I just would like a little reassurance when joe blow Mustang pulls up along side. I did the searches for the past three days and figured I would try to get up to date experiences. Thanks |

LTs, rod mod manifold and custom tune would be a good start. My friends Bolton's Camaro is kinda real cool without cam already.

I run a X pipe from a C7 on a Dual mode with no resonators from a Z28.

I would do LT's with HFC's and a tune, see how you like that. If you need more, then do the cam. Ported TB from Bo makes a big difference in throttle response.

I wouldnt bother with a cam personally. I managed mid 11s @ 120mph in my 1LE with some cool bolt ons and a light clutch.

I have one with a cam and its great, the cam gives the car a whole new attitude and it sounds way better. Plus it makes more power with the cam.
You can keep putting on bolt-ons too and it will just keep making more power.
