I’ve been bucket listing it since early 80s...now I’ve partially done it.

Avenging Orange: That is cool...something I would’ve done, had I not had to convert my garage to a bedroom when my twins were born. Enjoy your retirement. I retired a year ago at 58 from a local municipality.

I’ve since returned part time, same job, because the pension alone is not enough.

We made it to Oklahoma a few years ago, then had to turn back.
We made a lot of stops, driving only 4-5 hours/day.

My sister has been driving between here and central Missouri several times a year and each time she spends 2-3 hours at different places.
There are tons of things to see and it seems like every year more attractions are updated.

Recently took Cammy on a road trip down Route 66 for my gpa's funeral. Funny enough, came across this nice road in the middle of Arizona and just HAD to take pics of her.

Here's a piece of the original road in Winona Az. It's not marked from the
road and I'd have missed it passing by had I not seen a pic of it reading online the night before.

So many hidden gems on the Route. Love the old iron bridges....and only a couple Marsh Rainbow bridges left.

Nice, I had to stop in Williams in may on my way to the West Coast (PCH) to Oregon/Washington on my Goldwing.
https://photos.google.com/album/AF1Q...4v-BJ7UnmctJ9h

I stayed in Winslow the night before, when I left it was 45deg, btw, I packed the trailer it was in the 60's, before I got to Flagstaff, I got haled on twice, then rain, then sleet, then snow and the temps dropped in the 30's. after flagstaff, I got hailed on again, only worse. the interstate looked like someone dropped millions of marbles on the road. So I stopped in Williams when the weather go worse. I always make it a point to stop in Williams, Arz on my Bike trips when Im heading west. There only a few lone roads left with the route 66 name in the very western portion of Arizona. eastern California (around the mojave desert).

Haha thanks! Since I put it on, I haven't been getting any more flack from buying a V6. But Pruis's still get in my way though. Nobody ever reads the front plate. Lol

Still haven't made it all the way to Chicago but we've done the western part a couple of times.

Great fun in the Camaro!

Wink

Be kinda cool to be able to drive the Route every day.
Each time I was able to at least make LA....but traffic keeps me from getting to the Pier. Now that I am retired, I might fly to LA and start at Santa Monica.
