T V Head Unit Install

Het Guys & Gals...Getting ready to take out my baby very soon...Could
anyone tell me i am getting installed a Clarion T V Head unit...With the
Metra kit has anyone had issues at all...Programming or any other problem...Is it pretty much straight forward...My installer said he needs
the Metra kit - Steering wheel interface - Antenna conversion...Also would like to know install time how long for people who got it down...Would like to hear any feedback please... Thanks a bunch...

I did my own install using the Metra kit and a Kenwood 9960. If you can read instructions and have a few tools, it isn't too bad. The biggest hurdle is properly cutting the dash to get the wires to fit.

Honestly, I wouldn't pay anyone to do somthing I can do myself. They rarely take the time to ensure its done to my standards.

The Metra kit comes with everything you need to use the SWC. If an installer is telling you that you need a different part, he is 1) misinformed, or 2) trying to squeeze you for extra dough.

Yes, you will need an antenna adaptor. Make sure it is the powered adaptor, otherwise you will get horrid reception.
