FSU Vs. Oklahoma trash talk gets out of hand

The whole thing started Monday night with a Florida State fan encouraging others on Twitter to talk trash to Jefferson, who is a regular on the social media site. I'm sure the guy just expected people to have a little fun with him.
Someone posting under the name TheGhettoWizard was anything but fun.
While the details are easy enough to find on the World Wide Web, I refuse to waste keystrokes on every last detail here. Suffice it to say, the tweets mentioned horrible things befalling Jefferson's mother and sister. They referenced the Oklahoma City bombing. They even mentioned Sooner linebacker Austin Box, who died less than four months ago.

Talk about classless. I'm rooting hard for Oklahoma in this fight, and after those fighting words, it'll be a fight.

Side note: to date, OU has had the classiest fans I've ever experienced. Nothing but love for you big ole' rednecks

Those stabs can get pretty rough, sounds like it sure did in that case... BUT... Fla is full of good folks, the FSU student wasn't representing (and making a fool of) anyone but himself.

For the most part, I do think our fans are great. I would hope NO Sooner fan would trash talk to the degree that the fsu fan did.
Ya know, all we want to see is a good, clean, well played football game. Let the guys on the field be the main attraction, not the OBNOXIOUS fan!

Hey man, been a while. Hope all is good. I think my Sooners got some D now.

I love to talk shit, and I love to lay it on thick. Sports, to me, is an opportunity to do that. Some poeple seem to lay it on roughter than others and still be just talking smack. Then there are the ones who just don't get it. GAURANTEE the IQ and subsequent quality of living will dictate 99 percent of those guys.

I grew up in the shit talkinest family ever. Bonnies family get's actually pissed. We can talk shit even when out teams suck.

Example...... PonyMan in this thread and my response to him in the other one. Nobody gets' hatefull, just fun slamming.

I laughed at this.

I had an OU fan throw a FULL beer can at me when I was in the Longhorn Band marching in ranks into the Cotton Bowl back in 2001. I mean, seriously, drink the beer first, man. That's a party foul and waste of a perfectly good beer.

Every team has the crazy stupid fans. The bigger and more prominent the school, the worse the fans typicaly.
