If I could see the 2012 wiring diagram for the mirror I think we could figure it out. It might be the same as how I did it though. Based on the earlier conversation of Alex and Ofer, it appears the 2012 uses pins 6 and 7 for the camera, so those pins would not be needed.

maybe get with 2SSRS a few posts back...he has been working on it for a bit, perhaps a cooperative effort? Me personally if I can keep the auto dim imde be happy, dont need anything else

I think I am looking for what rhyder is looking for:

A 13 mirror in a 12 with the camera on an aftermarket radio.

Sorry I just read this whole topic, it's a great concept, if it was possible I would maybe consider not doing a my link retrofit.

Well I read all these posts and all the off shoot posts from it... It seems no one has an answer or hasn't done a 2012 2LTRS Vert w/ LCD and auto dim retro fit of 2013 frameless mirror w/o LCD.

So as I understand it, there is no harnesses yet made for this retro for the 2012.

I am looking to gut the 2012 LCD monster of a rear view mirror and relocate the LCD in a custom housing near the same area (next to/above/below) the new frameless 2013 mirror. ANY help out there that has already been done with clean installs and/or prefab harness would be a great help.

Go to Ofer's web site, Gen5DIY.com He has kits there to retrofit into 2010's to 2012's.

I have been to his site and read all his posts. I see nothing about 2012s. 2010-2011 only. Maybe I missed something? I did see a few posts talking about 2012s are already PnP (whatever that means) w/o LCD, however I have an LCD and want to relocate the guts of that next to the new frameless (some 12's want to pass thru to a new stereo LCD head unit but thats not my case, I simply want to custom the LCD into the headliner Pillar of the Convertible so I would like a simple 2012 retro with video/power out feed for the LCD relocation.
