I think athletes enjoy attention more than other celebs. Not all, but cetainly the "lebrons" do. And there are a lot of lebrons. Ever watch "rides" or the other customizing shows? Their vehicles scream for attention.
Hell, even people here are attention seekers to a certain extent. I read over and over about the "looks" people get in their camaros and how much they enjoy it.

I like his car. Watch 'More than a game'. great documentary about lebron and the kids he played with starting before HS.

It is different. I like how the stripes were gloss and the rest was matte finish. Cool idea.

It must suck to not be able to even go shopping w/o people going nuts over you. I'd still be appreciate the fans but you know there are some @$$holes out there yell crazy crap out there that just erk you inside. That's why I'd rather just be rich and not famous. Oh well. Kick ass car though, those stripes are very creative and look cool.
