It's not in American Dollars. It's probably in Yen. 200,000 over there is probably equal to about 35,000$ here.

just if you wonder , here in mexico (and we are just next to you) the camaro costs USD$$$40k for the base LT and 50k for a 2ss/rs .... yep there is no LS or 1ss , neither can you opt to get the RS package with the LTv6 maro , etc just those 2 configurations , and we just got 6 colors

there are fees for foreign cars, remember that the camaro (development of the car, use ,repair parts ,etc) you are buying is funneling money from dealers, americans workers who spent money in america..........and GM itself who pays taxes, to the US, so the the money ends within your country or goverment , meanwhile other countries have to set ridiculous fees in order to funnel some of that money that the US is earning , into the country in question. its not surprise to me to see a USD200k price tag for the camaro in china

PS. i just saw a 1995 red firebird transam used with 80 miles in spain (europe) at USD 20k

god bless you americans =)

Thats why italian made sports cars are so expensive over here, It is the import/ export taxes and fee's that acrue getting the cars shipped. Thats why containers are so closely guarded on ships, lots of fees going on there.

Why is everyone freeking out because a camaro costs $200,000 over there? That isn't in US Dollars. For example when I was living in australia EVERYTHING was more expensive when comparing it to US dollars, however I could have got a job as a stock boy at a grocery store for like $16 per hr. Point is, they get paid more, minimum wage is inthe double digits rather than single here.. so it equals out.. It took me a while to stop comparing everything like it was in US dollars, because that only really tells you what the cost is for a US citizen visiting that country.

So like was mentioned, $200,000 in their money is probably like $35,000 our money..someone who knows for sure can chime in

Gm should find a way to give this kid a camaro. I mean come on how many of us die hard even take it this far. The look on his face would be epic.
