Looking to get 400 hp & 400 ft/lb torque to the wheels

I have an automatic 2013 Camaro SS/RS. This is my daily driver. For me, 400 horse power & 400 lb/ft of torque to the WHEELS is the "sweet spot" for my needs and desires based on my experience owning other cars. However, those cars came stock with that much power so I have never had to have work done before.

What performance modifications do I need done to get these numbers out my Camaro?

Thanks.

Headers, HF cats (or no cats), cold air intake and a good dyno tune should get you there.

With headers, cai, and a tune you will be looking at about 370 hp at the wheels for the L99.

It's a little bit more difficult on the L99 to get 4xx Rwhp 4xx Rwtq. You may have to dip inside the top half of your motor to get there brother.

Yep this!

Headwork will get you to 400, no headwork and a stage 1 or 2 cam (with the other bolt ons) will get you 410 to 460rwhp

Oops ! My bad then. I have an LS3 and hitting the 400 HP/TQ level is easy with those mods. I'll bow out to the L99 guys with actual experience.

I can afford whatever needs to be done. If I do something I want it done right.

yep us L99 guys can thank GM for wanting to save the hippie world by going with a small cam to be able to drop to 4cyl!

Well if you want 400HP and no more than i would probably do all the bolt ons, headers, hi-flow cats, vararam CAI(the tune type) with a Scoop and then throw in a LS9 cam to keep it really mild and reach your HP goal and keep the GM named cam for the engine.

The worst thing about the L99 motor is the DOD/AFM. while the cam is being changed have them do a AFM delete and get rid of that crap. there is not one person on this forum that will disagree with that!

My best advice for your goals! Get a VVT stage 1 cam do the AFM delete and enjoy the car!
