Change spark plug wires w new headers?

Whats your opinion on changing to new spark plug wires at the same time new headers are being installed? if I can get better spark with improved wires it makes sense to me but does it make that much of a difference?

It wont make that big of a difference power wise but will help with the added heat the new headers will put out. I went with Taylor 409 wires and they have been great with the heat. My JBA powercable ended up cracking on the rubber sleeve from the heat.

Yep my Jbas cracked as well. Now I have MSD Super Conductors and they are great.

Installed headers 6 years ago, still using original wires.

No, it won't make any difference. Leave the old wires for now. If you have a situation where you burn a wire on a header, you can identify and rectify the situation before you pay good money for a good set of wires. The protective wire boots that RDP sells work well if you do have an issue with a wire to close to a header tube.

i just did LT header with HI flo cats and xpipe. because the guys were already there for the headers, they suggested to do plugs. i agreed and good thing, my car was around 40K and the plugs looked very used. i have a 2015 SS and is a daily driver. i went with PCM of NC wires with heat socks. i didn't do it because of performance but i spent the money for better and since the shop was in the same location it was kill two birds with one stone kinda situation. i also put in NDK iridium plugs.

Stock wires; headers fitted 3 years back - no issues, haven't heat-wrapped the pipes or anything.

I did headers, plugs, and heat sleeves on the wires.
