I can only assume that you track your car.

Again, I will also assume that this will vent the heat out of the engine bay nicely.

Can these vents be closed?

Just wondering about if it rains.

I do have the singular brand vents on my Miata. They did not come with any cover for rain or regular street use, but I easily fabricated covers using polycarbonate cut to the shape and fastened with wing-nuts.

Yes this car is primarily used for track, no longer a daily driver so I dont worry about rain. With that said the vents do not close once positioned they are fixed and as X25 said no rain trays.

Heat extraction and lift reduction is the main focus of these. The 10-13 suffered from front end lift at speed, I will know pretty quickly next weekend when I hit the banking at ACS. Previously front end would push bad at about 130, hope to be more planted.

I have talked with my bro and his partner about making some but they are easily fabricated with some thin sheet aluminum or as he did poly.

That sure is a beauty! Functional and in my opinion, adds a bit of a fear factor!

I would've put the 2 side vents more rearward to help with scavenging heat more rearwards of the engine bay like say when you have headers installed.
