Question

Does anyone know much about actual spring rates?

I have adjusted and adjusted these coil overs....and they are bottomed out. It will not go any lower at all and it's at about stock ride height.

The coilovers are the Lingenfelter/Pedders Supercar DRAG Coilovers.
The fronts have this stamped on them: 62 250 04.5
The rears have this stamped on them: 110 62 170 012

I have not installed the rear yet because I'm having some many problem with the front not lowering. I can increase he ride height with no problem....but it will not go any lower with the lower body all the way in.

Does anyone know since these are the "DRAG" coilovers....if they will not lower the car?
I thought maybe if I were to get another set of springs (more of a street spring) they would lower the car. ANY info would be great

Not sure what the specs on the actually coil-over, but the coils are read as:

62 250 04.5
62mm DIA (close to std 2.5" coils used by other manufacturers designs)
250mm length (about 9.84", std Pedders XAs use 180mm or 7")
04.5kg or 252lbs spring rate (std Pedders XAs use 8kg or 448lbs)

Forgive me but this may be a stupid question, but did you roll the vehicle to reset the suspension after dropping it to the ground?

I've tried 150lbs(10"), 250lbs(8"), 325lbs(8"), and 560lbs(?") springs on my front. Everything under 8kg(7") dropped the vehicle height where I needed to raise it to get it back to the same 1" drop with the 8kg spring. My car weighs 4300 lbs w/driver and has a KB 2.8. My Pedders XA may be different design from yours. I'm sure Lingenfelter would provide info info for you.

Try giving Lingenfelter a call.

Have you tried to get ahold of Justice Pete @ JPSS? He is a sponsor, used to be Pedders USA.

Can we see the actual coilover as it sits on the car?

Here it is, installed. The only way I could get it to go all the way down (lowest ride height even though it still sits like a truck) I had to compress the spring with the nuts. I had to tighten the spring down a lot in order for much adjustment as far as ride height. Again, it's like the spring is just way to long or stiff

Ride height should be adjusted by the upper two rings. Bring the center one down closer to the bottom one and the upper one snug up again the middle one. I think I have 35mm between the lower and middle one on mine. I don't have my car here or I would take a pic and measure for you. I am lowered as much as you can safely go with these coilovers.

If I do that, I run out of adjustment. Like the spring is waaaay to long.
According to the measurements giving above, the drag coil over springs are about 3" taller than the standard pedder coilovers. Wonder if that is the problem?

Again, these are the Lingenfelter/Pedder Supercar Drag Coilovers, not the standard pedder coil overs.

Just trying to help. Not a pro. From what I have seen u have to raise the lower ring and turn down the top ring to lower. Have u tried that?
