Stripes painted like factory stickers or over roof

I just got back from a collision shop and I am going to get the stripes painted on and have the gils painted to match. Thinking the same color as the rims (midnight gray I think its called). Also talked to someone to airbrush the engine cover and not pay the 400 to the dealer. I think it would look better and can have fun with it. They said they would do a helmet the same as the engine cover for the track. One last thing getting done, carpet in trunk is getting ebroidered with something fun as well (orange bow tie or something to that effect).
An suggestions on roof stripes, (no sunroof on car).

If you want to have an authentic look don't put stripes on the roof. I don't think that Chevy ever did this on camaros But if that's what your into I'm trying to decide if it would hinder the reverse mohawk or might make it stand out even more with stripes up there....

Roof Stripes = Mustang & Ford since 1964
No roof stripes = Camaro & GM since 1967

Gotta disagree with you there. While it doesn't look good on the Camaro. I think roof stripes look really good on Mustangs and so it doesn't always = "ricer"

if you have the center hood stripe then it may look ok on the roof if you continue it on the rear deck also..
but the Rally stripes Should never go over the roof on a Camaro...

There are roof stripes on the 30th and 35th LE cars. From what I've seen of the stripes on some of the 5th's so far I'm not that impressed.

It's your car bro, personalize it! The more personalized it is the less likely you'll see one just like it on the road.

I am having pearl white stripes painted on it right after I pick it up. I am leaving it to the paint shop as to putting the stripes on the roof or not. I can't make up my mind.

I don't think they will look good with the roof ditch but the 4rth gens anniversaries did.
