Silly me didn't realize I can have GM Connects email me when things update. Does the change in status change the TPW? originally dealer told me end of March 3/28.

Well gang a few more twists and turns on the raod to a Camaro convertible....

GMConnects advised it landed in Texas yesterday morning. I guess GMConnects is a day or so behind because the dealer called me back after I e-mailed them and advised it had landed Thurs. night and was in the shop having the ground effects installed. GREAT!!!!

Since the day the car was invoiced I have been asking these people to get all the ducks in a row on the financing. I was polite but firm that I was not going to play the "run over here, your car is finally here, sign here, press hard" rope-a-dope game. Nonetheless this is exactly what happened. I was previously approved as an A tier customer. The rate suddenly went up 2 points. 2 points just happens to be Ally's and the state of Texas' limit on how much you can mark up the rate. (No I'm not getting confused with the special financing rates--I was taking the dealer cash instead on other vehicles.)

OK, can't blame anyone for asking. However, upon questioning the F/I guy tells me that 5.59% for 72 months is only for "S" tier customers. That is contrary to what the publicly posted Ally retention sheet shows.

The deal is this. They agreed to sell a convertible for supplier and now want to make it up on financing. Its re-donkulous. How you can treat a 42 year old grown man like a stupid kid is beyond me.

The end of the day...If anyone wants a Cyber Gray/Gray Interior/Black Stripes/Hurst/Wheels/Ground Effects car go get it. I told them (very politely) where to put their Camaro.

Thanks for all of your help Becky. Wish you were closer. I would harvest something from your inventory.

Could be the car got held up in Quality Control, stripes adds to the time
and it could be they are just a little backed up in shipping them out.
I'm sorry your dealer isn't any help, they can get info for you from the GM Dealer Business Center.
Maybe a call to the sales manager in a polite but firm tone could get something done for you.
