I think the only time you'd see a big gain from coils is if your current set have problems.

There was one set of coils made by one company...that company is the only company that ever sent their coils to a completely independent 3rd party shop for a strictly before and after dyno comparison. I don't know the brand name. That company's wires gained 3 hp on a Viper engine. That amount of HP would basically be insignificant on even our SS engines. So if anyone telling me that these wires here are making an extra 20+ HP/TQ TO THE WHEELS, then I've got some magic beans I'd like to sell you.

Here is that link...page 8.

There's nothing wrong with the stock set unless you are sponsored a free set, need them, or just want to look cool don't waste your money.

That graph looks horrible. The before is pulling timing and both just look bad for smoothing on 5.

I run LS3 coils on my 7 second LS car. Nothing wrong with them.

Does anyone remember the K&N filter and intake test that gets recirculated from time to time? It shows 8whp/8tq gain from just their panel filter and 24/24 from a typhoon. As we all know, that is total BS. Guess which magazine did that test as well?

It just goes to show that PAID sponsors can post whatever they want.

Yeah, but add a K&N and these coils. It will be a high 6 second car.

Throw in the power wedge and its mid 6's all day.

i reported my experience on another 3d about the spark. it's impossible to get gain with an exchange of just a coil.it's just possible if the stock have problem.

with my test on ttrs i had just a big spark, not gain or other thing
