People don't notice it at all until AFTER I point it out to them. I repeat, no one ever notices it.

Just make sure that they do not cut the film on the car as the installer can go through the film. Instead of just scoring the film, they cut through it and into the clear coat leaving nice lines that follow the contour of the clear bra. Of course, you will never know this until you take the clear bra off in "x" number of years.

You can get it done professionally or do it yourself. You better have lots of patience if doing it yourself. Do a search and you will find several threads on this subject where it's done each way and you can get the whole hood or just partial hood and front..or you could just put it on the bumper but that doesn't make much sense. I had the front and part of the hood along with mirrors and part of the front fenders. You can only see the line from certain angles and barely.

There are plenty of examples of lousy work and pictures both by professionals and individuals. Check out the work on other cars and get recommendations locally.

I second Looney's comments. I also second PsyDoc's. It's best if they have the cutting machine template for the Camaro that way all the pieces are precut before going on the car. Those shops that cut the raw material on the car cut into the paint and when you try to remove it down the road, it can pull off the paint with it. Pre cut is the way to go.

I think for a daily driver, clear bra is a good idea. But for a weekend toy it's not neccessary. The front of my 98 SS still looks brand new after 48K miles without ever having clear bra.

It's all about your luck..............I've got 1800 miles on my 2010 since June 1 and it's been hit in 3 different places..............

I couldn't even get a tail light tint overlay on my last car without getting wrinkles. I can't imagine what a PITA it would be to do something of this scale on your own.

This is the way I did my camaro. That way if I want to change the stripes in a couple years, I dont have to ruin the clear bra.
