Bad showing at the drag strip?
Saw this vid on a local Mustang site....bad showing for the ZL1, but I also think the Shelby had a drag radial.

Are we going to analyze the performance of every ZL1 that comes within 5 miles of a Shelby on this forum?

Probably...you don't have to join if you don't want...purely optional. But seriously, 12.9 to and 11.3 and both cars represent performance shops...looks like a knife to a gun fight and I was rooting for the knife.

Haha I was just watching the 2004 Punisher movie, the bad guy says that line to the Punisher, and of course, the knife wins.

Mythbusters did a knife / gunfight scenario . . . the gun does not always win . .
The knife has a damn good chance of winning. |

As for the ZL1...he made a bad run. Happens to all cars and all drivers at some point in time. |

Looks like the guy driving the ZL1 needs to learn how to launch that thing! Come on!

The Shelby also had nitrous on it. I think it ended up going mid 10s @ over 140mph. I don't know how you could show up to a challenge at a drag strip and drive like that. I know everybody has a bad run now and then but runs like this one are why the Mustang guy's are laughing at these cars.

What wheels are on the ZL1? They don't look stock.

That ZL1 looks similar to the one that Erik@Torq drove at the Top Ride Shootout. wheels look similar.

It is. Mods were pulley, intake, and tune. Not sure about tires.
