Help with pulley & tune suggestion

I'm curious about getting this 10% overdrive pulley I keep reading about for more boost? Can someone give me some info about it and on what I need purchase to do this?

Also anyone know any good tuners in the philadelphia/south Jersey area? After I change the pulley I will be needing a tune.

Not new to camaro's, just new ZL1 specific mods. Thanks for your help

10% lower, CAI, tune, 75 rwnp. I had great success with JRE. If you buy a ATI or Lingenfleter balancer I have my original 10% ring and maybe a new belt, I would have to check the garage attic. Hit the JRE site or just search there are years of success on the forum.

I have a CAI and kooks headers with high flow cats...I'm not looking to generate a ton of extra power just a little more. I figure the pulley would help and then getting a tune on top of it.

You will need a tune after adding a pulley. A lower 10% overdrive is a solid upgrade and won't push your set up to hard. Give us a call and we can go over some options. We have ATI and IW systems in stock.

Do you need new fuel injectors with a 10% pulley?

Being honest I regretted adding headers to my 10% lower 75RWHP after running it a whole year without headers. Sounded great, but it just didn't have that snap, and that was because of the improved flow which is slightly lower boost. Yes the headers were mandatory for the next step so I did move on with 18% ID850's, plugs and BAP, and that brought the snap back but plenty of Heat Soak.

Mandatory for what step, the headers?

Above the 10% lower you need the headers to improve the flow/backpressure for the extra boost.

Race Proven Motorsports isn't far from you - New Castle Delaware. They do a whole lot of LS and LT stuff with great results.

And they have a really good YouTube channel, too. Gives you a good feel for the shop and how they work.

I'm a subscriber - I like getting in on the dyno guesses. I can usually hit within a few percent.

Lowering the boost number doesn't change how much power it makes, the blower is still moving the same CFM in, it's just under less pressure. Put a ZL1 on the dyno with 10% pulley with and without headers, if both are tuned properly, the Header car will make more power across the board, possibly lose a negligible 10 RWTQ or so at 0-2500 - MAYBE. More than likely, more torque and power across the graph. Lower boost number doesn't mean lost power or torque. Just less pressure.

Just sharing my personal experience, and yes I didn’t waist a lot of time with AFR before going with the 18% injectors and BAP.
