Personally I dont think it matters. But looking at my service manual for the 2014 model, the passenger side is the inlet.

Good! What was the answer in case someone else ever lands on this post in a search?

Agreed about the search within the forum. I have much better luck with a Google search of this site by using "insert search terms here" site:camaro5.com

Correct sir! You win the internet. For those who are not familiar with transmission lines, one line is a FEED line to the stock cooler and the other is the RETURN line back to the transmission after going through the cooler. The reason this is critical is you want the fluid to get the thermal cooling from the fluid to fluid cooler first, before it gets secondary cooling from the air to fluid cooling which is not as efficient as fluid to fluid.

So you added a secondary cooler for the transmission?

With a stall converter it's a must have. Heat is always your trannys enemy.

Agree with the heat is your trannys enemy. I have a 3600 stall and an external cooler only (bypassed the radiator cooler/heater). My trans temps have never gone above 180 even after 8 pulls on the dyno at GPI or 9 passes at the track in one evening.

Interested to hear how your temps are once you get things settled in. Well, that and the next dyno session along with your track event.

Hey Ashen 6.2,
Which tranny cooler did you go with? I installed a Derale 13401 but live in Phx and the temps would climb to 200 degrees when it was hotter than $&#! in the summer (110+) after a few hard runs. In hindsight, I wish that I’d installed a bit larger cooler. Thanks

You've got an excellent cooler if it's a stand alone and keeping things under control
Looks like Thursday will be a rainout. Rain date is Nov 5.
