Hurst Shifter Question

Does anybody know the thread size for the knob I just ordered mine and want to get a knob that will better suit my styling than the white one that comes on it. I looked all over their website and got nowhere. Its the billet plus 2 shifter.

NOTE: The Hurst Billet Comp/Plus Shifter for the Chevrolet Camaro and Pontiac G8 GXP has been designed to
fit any of Hurst’s sticks, knobs (with 3/8”-16 thread), and handles (with 3/8”-16 thread).
Go here http://www.hurst-shifters.com/hurst-...et-Camaro-2010

and download instructions. The info I posted above is on the last page.

Barton has a better selection of shift knobs and they are the same thread.

Follow up question... anyone know what the thread size is on the Hurst factory shifter option? I don't have the car yet but I want to plan ahead. Thanks.

Not for sure, but I would say the same size. I can't imagine Hurst making 2 thread sizes for the same car.

I would check...because Hurst makes a factory upper stick. It could be a push on like the standard GM shifter.

True dat. Billet 2 comes with both, the chrome, and the factory stick. And the factory pops on. Hurst black Universal knob comes with all the adaptive bushings to fit any stick.

however if the factory Hurst upgrade is a HURST.....then wont any upper stick from Hurst simply bolt on? I would think so but you never know theses days......

I think the factory Hurst is a completely different shifter than the aftermarket so I would be surprised if you can change anything on it.

I think the only difference is the bearings. That was what GM was hung up on from the original design.
