Nissan's dirty little secret!

Talk about lame. Know that factory launch control feature they touted around, using it to make screaming fast laps? If you use it on your own personal GT-R, it'll void your warranty. And a black box installed in each GT-R will record you using it. What else voids it? Racing it. I mean, this car was built for speed-limit crusing Sundays, right? Yup turning off VDC voids the warranty.

So you must have performance-optimizing maintenance performed but using this optimized performance voids your warranty.

IF there is any tampering sensed by it, it also voids the warranty...and Im sure these "black boxes" are serialized so they know which car each one came from

I'm sure if you can afford a GT-R, replacing a few parts that the voided warranty would have covered would be no big deal.

So you can't even race at a race track? Like I can't buy a GT-R, drive it to Mid-Ohio, and race?

You know what this means, right?
IT CAN do all this quick-fast crap that the Nissan boys will tout...but it CAN'T do it reliably; otherwise there would be no warranty issues!

Way to go Nissan!! So much for Godzilla!

They had problems, I believe, with their Evo's ruining the drivetrain by using the launch control.
