IOS 15 not recognized by my car

Sooooo I see this question has been asked a few times with no real answer. I recently downloaded IOS 15 on my iPhone. Now my car won't play music at all. I have a 2010 2SS. IT charges from the USB port but no music. I've tried restarting the phone, messing with settings on iPhone. Tried some of the techniques from youtube videos. I feel like I've tried everything. nothing. Phone charges but no music. It worked perfectly fine with IOS 14. I spoke with a techy guy at work who explained the car needs to go the Chevy bc it's def not the phone. Are there software updates available at the dealership? help I haven't had my music in over a month. My ride to work is awful without my music. anyway, any answers?

It is the phone my stopped working with the first 15 update. Then with the 15.2 update everything works fine.
