No! These bulbs are useless for our reverse lights.
On paper and in my research I somehow landed on this bulb (before actually looking at the bulb on my car). I was pissed I bought a useless bulb.

so besides what AAC sells, are there any other options as far as LED bulbs for the reverse lights? 2011 camaro. So, far anything i find people say it doesn't work.
Don't feel like spending $200 for the ones at AAC, plus they don't even look that good. you can see the bulbs which i think is silly

LEDs are polarity sensitive so if they don't work the wires prob need to be reversed.

Are you sure these work on our cars?

I highly doubt these will fit due to the socket.

Can't say for sure. The Sylvania bulb guide lists a 5008 reverse/backup bulb for '10-'13s (which Lumen lists their LED replaces). The Philips bulb guide lists a 12184 reverse/backup bulb for '10-'13s (which Lumen doesn't list their LED replaces) Who do you believe as both Sylvania and Philip are recognized as being accurate.

my man...

SMART!

I accidentally broke the prongs and they're now stuck in the socket with now way to remove them. But after seeing you let strips, sounds like a way better route to traverse. Thanks!

I saw some at wallyworld and was thinking about applications, and this was one of them. Just not too enthused about WW parts on my ride. Any other sources?

I was going to go the route, but opted for a better solution.

I bought the sockets from amazon https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

and these bright LED bulbs. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I spliced the wires to the reverse wires and used 3m tape to keep the sockets in the reverse light housing. The results?

Came out perfectly. The lights are extremely bright looks pretty nice and crisp. Also, I can still see out back with my all around 15% tints at night.

I will try to post pics later when I get home.
