Yeah a bluetooth write would be a little scary. I see USB C as well.

+ $25 for the pro cable IF you have analogs you want to read. I believe that is included for the upgrade..

Add shipping from them (you also pay to ship them your old one too...)

MPVI2 came in and I had no issues with connecting, reading, or setting up Bluetooth. I’ll test a write in a bit but so far everything is the bees knees...

Pedders Coilovers

OK, started on the Pedder's coilovers and camber plates!

Couple of things to note:

1) Camber Plates 'change' the ride height so if you follow the standard instructions, you'll be @ least 18MM higher (the thickness of the plates). So you'll have to adjust the coil overs for height 'on' the car to get the fronts right.

2) I found drilling the pilot holes easier from the bottom -- this way I would be certain the plate would fit in the opening.

3) Fishing line works 'awesome' for lining up things

Here are the pics:

Setup of coil overs (note the order of parts):

Next Camber plates!

Pedders Coilovers (cont.)

Camber plates were setup first -- drilled and tested the hole spacing to make sure.

First I used fishing line to line up things:

Setting up plate for drilling:

Drill baby drill (used painter's tape to capture the metal as I went):

Installing:

Right:

Lined up (note I used a camber bolt to hold the original setting before I removed the old 1LE struts):

Pedders says this video is good to go:

More to come...

Moreno Camber Plate failure (Gen 1)

To my surprise, I found the bearing on the left camber plate shot. The right side was fine but, this one had no hope of making it. These were from the first run so if you have them, better check them:

Total surprise -- did not expect that at all...

Pedders Coilovers (cont.)

Started on the rear coilovers today, got pretty far:

Off with the old:

New (with the Detroit Speed LCA's):

Notice the Coilover not in place? There is a reason for this.

THE OPENING for the shock is too narrow! Yep -- no where in the instructions did it say for DSS Coilovers only either...

Factory shock bushing measures 64.64mm wide (end to end), Pedders measures 64.90 mm wide, THE OPENING measures 63.39 mm wide -- yep, 1.35 mm narrow for the stock 1LE shock, 1.61 mm narrow for the Pedders. I can't image why. The factory LCA measures at its widest 67.60 and narrow point @ 67.30 (giving enough room to 'slide' the shock bushing in to the bolt-up area).

Go figure...

So, I'll need to grind down the bushing so I can 'Slide it In' (Whitesnake reference).

Amazed @ all the special work I've had to do for 'factory' fit aftermarket parts...

Wing Prep!

Ordered a 6th Gen ZL1 CF Wing from C7 Carbon -- so in prep, was lucky to find an RJT trunklid with NO HOLES!

Had EVERYTHING so all I need to do is remove the vinyl stripes and do my usual paint correction/prep...

Packing was Phenomenal!

Here it was from Ebay:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Trunk-Hatch...53.m2749.l2649

Got 10% off and free freight...

uniwideautoparts is in Houston area and treated me very well...

Here it is:

Came in great shape:

Fun ahead!
