I would say the transmission wasn't a factor in the base ZL1 time. Chevy brought the car they felt would run fastest (A10) and when Pobst ran them both they were pretty equal

...At the big track at Willow Springs Raceway ...the ZL1 with a manual ...ran a blistering quick 1:26.16 ... the ZL1 with the automatic transmission ...a time of 1:26.48. Randy strongly felt there were some tenths left in the automatic ZL1 ...and kept adjusting tire pressures and lapping ...result ...an unofficial lap time of 1:25.87

Ok, I just am finally on lunch and watched the video. I don't care what the GT350 sounds like or what anyone says. That motor sounds SICK!!!! What a badass car. And to think I get to drive it anytime I want, minus the 1LE package....

I'd say this 1LE rises well above the Ford/Chevy rivalry....Ford doesn't play the 'Ring game, and that's ok...

This is Camaro's world class track car and on a whole different level than what Ford offers.

Ford may very well come close to the Camaro on shorter, technical tracks in the US, but this is out of Ford's league....

Personally, I could use a break from hearing their same old worn out arguments.

The entire gen6 Camaro line up is on a whole different level than Ford. V6-1LE, SS, SS-1LE, ZL1 and ZL1-1LE. They'll close the gap or pass the SS but...

Very cool on at least a couple of counts. A good friend of mine has a GT3 RS. We actually did a track day a couple of weeks back together (PCA Club event). This Camaro was one notch faster than a GT3 RS.
