Sounds very similar to what mine did before the resonated x-pipe. To me, the rasp got to be too much after about a week.

Well I listened through my BOSE headphones and it's not as deep as I would have thought. Just MVHO. As with all of these scenarios I'm sure they sound better in person. What did you record this on?

Met up with an SS driver with the Borla ATAK and LT's and I know it's not the touring but to me it sounded flat like an un EQ'd car stereo. Wasn't rich and evil like a nice Corsa. Maybe it's just Borla's approach.

Also some catbacks play better than others with LT's. That was my experience with SOLO. But even they rumbled real nice at idle. Very much like a V8.

What's important is that YOU like them and can live with them everyday.

I recorded the video with an ipad it was windy that day as you can tell. At idle it is not loud at all but it does have that rasp when reving. I think the car sounded better with the shorties.

as stated a million times on these threads, you could put on a magna flow x pipe that would clean up the sound a lot... but it will quiet it down quite a bit too...

Something to think about.

The device used to record makes a big difference. I'm sure it sounds good in person.

Here is a BBK + borla setup from another member. Might not be exact same mufflers, but you get an idea of the sound difference. Sounds much throatier in these

Yeah that does sound better.

OP, as you're finding out, LT's really do change the character of any catback or axleback. It's kind of a crapshoot and an expensive one at that if you miss. I did on my first try. However someone else may have found my old set up to be the ultimate long term solution for them. There are so many different variables.

I don't have any regrets. I learned a lot more about exhausts by going through what I went through so that's cool. 750.00 lesson.

You may want to look into that Magnaflow X-pipe. It will definitely quiet her down some but your tone will deepen at idle and you'll lose the rasp in the higher RPM and you'll prolly have a pretty drone free system that you can easily live with.

Good luck and I hope you weren't offended by any of my comments.
