Rolling along...
|
I wonder how much it costs to license the "Z/28" logo from GM? I could make a killing in the aftermarket with them just by selling them to dealers so they can upsell them as a dealer-installed option.
Just kidding to all you die-hard Z/28 fans. Can't say I'd never buy a car simply because it didn't have the right trim level emblem on the trunk and grille. Now, if they sold me a V8 that I couldn't get a GM dealer supplied supercharger or turbo on then it might be another story. |

Again, my real concern is the power, not so much the name. Didn't mean to fuel the fire. And I understand that on the fly answers to questions don't always read the way they are intended.

Damnit, that kind of makes me not want to buy a Camaro now. If I buy an SS then a Z/28 comes out, I will be ******* pissed!

Why complain over no z28???
Its obvious the z28 is the one that will be built to compete against the gt500
do you realize that with an ss your getting 400 hp!!! thats insane lets not get too greedy not to mention the freakin v6 has as much as the last gen z28 and ss's if anybody should be complaining its us convertible buyers... 2010??? are you serious....!!! |

to Z or not to Z
|
you drive a 1944 VW..... you wont be able to appreciate the 422 horsepower anyway, much less a supercharger...
If you like the Camaro get one, you can get a supercharger put on it. IF you want a gt500 go to their sites, and let them know you are coming. no offense, but gt500gt5000gt500... enough already

Personally, I don't want to buy an SS knowing that there is a monster waiting 6-12 months down the line. I'd rater wait.
Not knowing there will be one cause problems for me. Assuming there will be one, causes problems if there isn't one. You see the dilema? |

...that's EXACTLY how I feel. Which is too bad, because I know that the people who were behind this comeback thought very much of the enthusiasts and our heritage as Camaro fans. But when I hear "Chevrolet is encouraging the SS strategy with cars such as the HHR SS and Cobalt SS. Consistent with this strategy, we have a Camaro SS"...I'm sorry it just sounds vanilla. Yes, I'm sure it will be very exciting to drive and the best bang for your buck as it always has been. But it sounds like this move was to make it "fit in" more with the Cobalt and HHR...which to me is an excuse. If that's the case, rebadge the ZR1 to SS and I'll shutup about it. |
