Radio question???

Due to the seriously crappy winter we are having here in southeastern Wyoming I have not been able to drive my car much, so this issue may or may not be due to that, however here is the issue. (and by the way this is really not at issue I love this car, thanks chevy). The date on the radio always seems to be wrong yet the time is right. I have reset the date 2 or 3 times, however right now it says feb 6th. I drove it yesterday, and before that last sunday I rolled it out into the drive way and let it run for 1/2 an hour to charge the battery. Before that it was probably january when I drove it last. Is this due to my lack of driving so it cant talk to onstar or what? Also if you didn't read above this is not really a problem just a question. (I wouldn't car if the stupid radio quit all together as nothing on the radio sounds as sweet as that LS3) thanks in adavance ANDY.

This has been discussed several times here. It appears the radio looses time if the car sits for more than a couple days without being turned on. No real reason for this has been, nor a solution.

Yup, mine does it and I only let her sit 2-3 days at a time! Doesn't happen every time though, just now and then.

I will have to check mine. It has been sitting so long I'm not even sure what color it is or was? Is it just me or has this winter seem like it has been like 6 years long or what?

I finally got to drive mine saturday after 8 weeks of hibernation. Good thing I didn't wait until sunday as it was 30 and drizzling. I know what you mean about long winter we still have drifts around here from October..Funny enough I have a 69 camaro as well..

I actually went to Utah to buy. The dealership here (more so, the Salesperson) didn't want to work with me.

Told me to come back when I was serious. So, I went to Utah, bought the car, and then went back to show him how serious I was. Idiot.

Next time through Cheyenne, I will have to watch for you. We go through there about twice a year, is all.
