Engine tuning?

I have a 2011 LS3 with a K&N cold air and Magnaflow Cat Back comp exhaust. Is tuning worth the money and is so, any recommendations?

firmly believe that you don't get any more than 50% of the benefit of any power mods without a custom tune so your ECU knows what to do with the modifications you've made. Even if you have zero modifications, a custom tune just to lean-out the engine some, modify the stock torque management settings will make a HUGE difference! Trust me. It will turn your car into a whole new animal. And SPi is the place to do it

Give Champion Motors a call.

Kevin tuning there is amazing from everyone I hear from, for any LS engine based car.

PS: Champion Motors will have a booth at MegaSpeed next month too.

Are you planning anytime on changing the headers or have you already done that? If you are planning on headers, maybe wait until you do that then get the tune done. Up to you though, just saves you some cash.

With just a CAI and cat-back exhaust you will see some benefits from the tune, but adding in the LT headers and some hi-flow cats will make an even bigger difference with a tune.

I had my car tuned last summer. I had a CAI and a ported TB on the car already, then had LT headers and the hi-flo cats put on. My base dyno run without a tune gave me 380hp/376lb/ft at the wheels. After the tune was done I have 418hp/408lb/ft at the wheels. I gained 38hp/32lb/ft with the tune. Pretty substantial numbers. Here is the dyno graph:

Oh and one more thing to note is that I have the NPP exhaust on my car too.
