6 gen. Camaro paddles for manual transmission?

I look at the local offer of Camaros and see that there is 6 gen. with manual transmission and steering wheel paddles.

With an automatic transmission, I would understand. But the importance of paddles in the manual ...?

Can someone explain it to me, please?

Rev match? You'd need three hands for that setup. lol.! Never heard nor seen paddle shifters on a manual clutch pedal car.

Looks like someone just installed an automatic steering wheel in a manual trans car.

Yes, rev match. I test drove a 1LE last year and it is pretty awesome and easy to use. Wish our cars had it

It is for rev match. It is for people who want to drive a manual transmission but have no idea how to drive a manual transmission. Basically one paddle is if you want rev match on, the other if you want it off. When on, you shift your stick into the desired lower gear and before you let the clutch out the engine will go to the desired rpm to save your clutch. Again, it's for people who don't know how to drive a manual transmission.

A simple blip of the throttle achieves the same result. Like pyro said for today’s drivers who don’t know how to drive a manual. I don’t even use the clutch but to start and stop normally, it’s just habit from the days when I used to use my CDL more.

Ah ... Then I don't need it. I wouldn't even want it.
I have been driving with manuals since I was a child, and even today I sometimes drive with a manual without synchronization.

So nothing for me.

But thank you for the explanation

Fascinating. I wouldn't want it on my manual vehicle. Just extra nonsense to malfunction.
